Bottega di Casa Bottega extra virgin olive oil is produced in Umbria, Italy’s greenest region. These oils have a very low acidity ratio: about 0.4% in oleic acid. The fresh taste of Italian olives is captured.
The range includes an oil made with a blend of olive varieties Frantoio, Leccino and San Felice olives, and and an oil made from 100% Olivarola olives and another from 100% Leccino olives. In addition, there are three aromatic oils: rosemary oil; paprika oil; and spices oil.
production method
Our olive groves are situated in a hilly region 300m above sea level. Traditionally, the olives are harvested between mid November and mid December. Bottega di Casa Bottega’s olives are picked by hand.
Crushing turns the olives into a paste and special presses compress the cold paste to extract the oil. Filtration through layers of pure sanitary cotton eliminates any impurities. After a maturation period of about 60 days, the oil acquires its full flavour and is ready to eat.
serving
These olive oils are ideal on raw or cooked vegetables, bruschette, grilled meat and any kind of side dishes, and of course on salads.
