Bottega fruit jams have intense flavours of fresh fruit. They would often be called preserves rather than jam, because their primary ingredient is fruit. Each jar contains more than 50 grams of fruit out of 100 grams of finished product. They contain only fruit, cane sugar and lemon juice.
production method
Fresh cherries, strawberries, wild berries and apricots are picked in season. The fruit, cane sugar and lemon juice are blended in stainless steel tanks, the so called “cooking bubbles”, where they cook. The preserve is then poured into glass pots when still hot and pasteurised.
serving
The intense flavour of these preserves make them ideal in cakes and tarts. A small amount spread on toast or rusks will liven up breakfast.
