honeyhoney

organic honey

This wildflower honey (lucerne, clover, sunflower, forest flowers, underbush flowers, etc.) comes from central Italy. It has a sweet taste with hints of pollen. The natural sugars are glucose and fructose, with no sucrose.

production method

The honey is extracted from honeycombs following traditional Italian methods, and is not pasteurized. When collected, honey is liquid but if this honey is stored in a cold place it crystallises and becomes thick. This thickening occurs because our honey has not been thermally treated. Bottega honey is an entirely natural product. As such, its flavour will vary from batch to batch due to the varying blends of the flowers from which it is produced.

serving

Use it in baking, to sweeten drinks such as milk, tea and coffee, and of course spread it on toast and rusks.
